We have just received a batch of beautifully custom pad-printed Russian soldier torsos from Citizen Brick and have assembled some soldiers to help protect Mother Russia! Available for a limited time. These come with a BrickArms helmet but you’ll have to pick out your own weapons. May we recommend the BrickArms PPSh, TT-33 or DP-28?

We have made up a special run of Durabuilder Jeeps with a canvas cover from MMCB Capes especially for World War Brick 2013. One of these kits goes to each of the Weekend Pass holders, and about 20 or so will be available to general public. World War brick will be opening 1/2 hour earlier for Advance Ticket holders on Saturday morning (9:30 instead of 10:00), so get your advance ticket and arrive early if you want a chance at these.
BrickArms unveiled the first release versions of the M1917A1 machine gun at World War Brick this weekend. We have secured the few unsold copies and have them for sale exclusively on the Brickmania web store. Available are the M1917A1 Night Raid Assault edition and Olive Green edition. Both come with limited edition printed crates, tripod, bullet chain and are poly-bagged with retail labels.
This is the limited edition event kit made for World War Brick 2013. It is the Brickmania “Durabuilder” Jeep modified to receive a custom canopy made by MMCB Capes from Australia. A very few of these kits were left over and are being offered while they last. Limit 1 per customer.
We have few leftover World War Brick 2013 event crates left. This is an olive green BrickArms crate adorned with the logo of World War Brick and the three main event sponsors. Inside are eight vintage silver BrickArms weapons. These were given out to all the Weekend Pass holders at World War Brick 2013, with a few leftovers being made available to the general public. This is a truly unique item!
World War Brick saw the release of a number of special edition BrickArms releases, including a number of extremely rare “Reloaded” series weapons. Using a special “overmolded” technique, Will Chapman is able to hand-inject these special two-color BrickArms weapons. These are NOT painted, but two colors of solid ABS plastic molded into one piece. Each one comes in a special “BrickArms Reloaded” blister pack. They are all very limited, very difficult to make, and very, very cool.

70 years ago this week, the Soviet Union rebuffed the German summer offensive on the plains of Kursk during what has become the greatest tank battle in history. To help celebrate this great victory for the Motherland, we have marked down all Russian armor kits this week only. These include:

Earlier this month we visited the USS LST Ship Memorial as part of our visit to Evansville, Indiana. We were given a great tour by our guide “Mustache” Mike, who hung out with us for most of the next day’s display of our LST model at the Evansville Museum. We were so moved by the dedication by the team preserving LST 325 that all of the Brickmania team signed up as members of the LST Memorial. LST 325 currently resides in Evansville, Indiana, but will be departing in September for a for a month-long tour of ports along the Ohio / Kanawha Rivers (Charleston, WV, Huntington, WV, Madison, IN and Owensboro, KY). The Kubelwagen is one of the most produced kits in the Brickmania arsenal and it just keeps selling out batch after batch. We’re pleased to announce the recent shortage of Kubelwagens has been temporarily solved by another batch being assembled this week. What makes this kit so popular? Sturdy construction, opening doors and a relavitly low price are a good place to start. How about we sweeten the deal by taking $5 off the price through next Wednesday? And with Brickfair happening next week this is the perfect time to bolster your army!
Another batch of 37mm Anti-tank Guns is now ready for immediate shipping. This was the main US anti-tank artillery piece issued to US Army and US Marines at the onset of World War II. They were quickly rendered ineffective against the more heavily armored tanks in the European Theater before they could even be brought into use. However, their compact design and relatively light weight made this an ideally suited to the the Pacific campaigns, against lightly armored Japanese vehicles, small fortifications and “Banzai” charges. The M1 37mm Anti-Tank gun was the only such weapon small enough to be towed behind a jeep. ORDER HERE.
We also have another batch of M1A1 Howitzers fresh off the assembly line. This light howitzer we designed for use by Airborne troops but is often also associated with Marine Corps campaigns of World War II. This compact weapon could be towed behind a jeep or dismantled into sections and carried by pack animals. ORDER HERE.
It’s common for people to receive sticker shock after seeing the prices on some of our premium edition kits. Brickmania does in fact make a large selection of kits designed for smaller budgets. Right now we have 15 kits in stock for $25 or less and 11 kits for $15 or less. With the release of the DUKW, Brickmania’s line of WW2 amphibious vehicles will be one step closer to completion. The first batch of DUKWs is expect to be available next week at Brickfair Virginia. This monstrous vehicle is over 33 studs long and 9 studs wide, and weighs over 3/4 of a pound! It can handily hold a Brickmania Durabuilder Jeep in the cargo bay and has room for two minifigures in the cabin. Just like the real thing, Brickmania’s 1/35 scale DUKW was a durable vehicle, capable of moving large amounts of cargo on land and at seas (well, ours may not swim as well as the real thing). This kit has great customization potential, with possible attachment of an A-frame hoist, cargo bay cover and/or machine gun mount. Watch this blog for photos of DUKW in action on our display at Brickfair Virigina next week. If you can’t be there to buy one in person, DUKWs should be available to the rest of the world shortly thereafter. The DUKW as shown at top (no minifigs) has an MSRP of $165.
Brickmania will be returning to our fifth annual visit to Brickfair Virginia (formerly Brickfair DC), the hands-down largest LEGO fan event in the USA. Our giant sized booth (8 tables!) will have a large selection of Brickmania kits and BrickArms accessories, including rare and new items not available on the web site! Julie from GI Brick will also be joining us at the booth, along with a selection of exclusive figures and printed BrickArms accessories. Joe from Bullseye Brick will also have a selection of his custom kits based on realistic models of actual firearms (no they don’t actually shoot anything). We will have some beautifully hand-painted premium custom figures from Brick Mercenaries available. Attendees with full registration will have first access to the rare items for sale (many still to be announced) plus a chance to talk face to face with Dan, Will, Julie, Joe, Landon and the rest of our crack team of LEGO commandos!

You may remember the long lines to get to the Brickmania booth during the public days at Brickfair VA. We’ve worked with the event organizers on a new booth design that should allow for twice as many people to “pass through” our booth at a time. We are also placing a focus on bringing only the newest, best selling, and exclusive items, so you’re not sifting through bins of the “same-old same old” while trying to find that new M1919A1 prototype. Brickmania is planning to release the new DUKW kit and roll out our newest T-shirt design (featuring a rather menacing-looking T-34/85 tank).
Brickfair organizers also made special accommodations for our massive World War II diorama: “Operation Stalemate II” the invasion of Peleliu island by US Marines in 1944. The diorama measures an impressive 5′ x 24′ and features a ten foot long Landing Ship Tank, dozens of tanks and other fighting vehicles, plus more than 400 custom minifigures. Brickfair Viriginia is one of the few LEGO fan events that has a regular large contingent of military modelers and we’re excited to be a part of this continuing tradition.
Brickmania is pleased to announce that we have been invited to set up a display at the VMMV (Virginia Museum of Military Vehicles) / NMAW (Americans in Wartime Museum) Open House at “The Tank Farm” in Nokesville, Viriginia. Each year thousands of visitors come to see a vast array of fully restored military vehicles, displays and demonstrations by living history units, and more. Suggested donation is a minimum of $10 per adult, with proceeds going towards creation of a permanent museum in Prince William County, Virginia. Brickmania will have our Operation Stalemate II diorama and a number of other military models on display inside The Tank Farm pavilion. The event’s permit rules do not allow for us to sell product on site, but we will have special web store discount coupons available for those who visit us. With a top speed of 45 miles per hour and a powerful 3″ (76mm) Anti-Tank gun, the M-18 Hellcat was one of the most versatile tank destroyers in the Allied arsenal and played a decisive role in the Battle of the Bulge.

This kit features full rotating turret that can hold two minfigs (included), fully posable main gun, opening drivers’ hatches (figs not included) and true 1/35 scale constructions. BrickArms M1 “Pot” Helmets and “buildable” bullet belt links are included for M2 machine gun. The hull does not have interior details, but is completely hollow and ready to be customized.
